Bus Stop Ad Shows Philadelphia Eagles endorsed Kamala Harris for President; Organization Says Ad is "Counterfeit"

PHILADELPHIA, PA - An ad in downtown Philly at a bus stop near 34th Street and Walnut Street has shown the Eagles endorsed Kamala Harris for President. This would not come as a surprise as the Lurie family has donated millions to Democratic candidates. In 2019-2020 alone, Eagles minority owner Christina Weiss Lurie donated $26,300 to Democratic campaigns. This includes $2,800 to Kamala Harris for President on August 1, 2019, her original pick for President during the 2020 presidential election; and another $2,800 to Joe Biden for President made on June 2, 2020. In addition, Lurie donated $1,000 to Raphael Warnock, Georgia Democratic Senate nominee on August 24, 2020.
The Eagles quickly said that the ads depicted on social media were counterfeit. “We are aware counterfeit political ads are being circulated and are working with our advertising partner to have them removed.” Said the Eagles on X.
The Philadelphia Eagles start the 2024 season on Friday in Sao Paolo, Brazil against the Green Bay Packers. The Eagles started the 2023 season 10-1 and finished the year 11-6 going 1-5 in the last six weeks in a historic late-season collapse. They lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 32-9 in the wild-card round.
