DC GOP Commends the Bi-Partisan Efforts on the RFK Memorial Stadium Revitalization Act

WASHINGTON, DC - (January 7, 2025)- Yesterday, with bipartisan support, President Biden signed the D.C. Robert F. Kennedy (RFK) Memorial Stadium Campus Revitalization Act, which transfers administrative jurisdiction over the RFK stadium site from the Secretary of the Interior to the District of Columbia. Allowing Mayor Bowser an opportunity to develop the land for commercial and residential development and for stadium redevelopment. DC GOP Chairman Patrick Mara released the following statement:
"Yesterday, we were proud to witness the signing of the bipartisan legislation, the D.C. Robert F. Kennedy (RFK) Memorial Stadium Campus Revitalization Act. This is a testament to the collaborative efforts of Republicans in Congress and Mayor Bowser, working together to enhance the lives of District residents without imposing any additional burden on the American taxpayer."
He concluded, "This successful partnership between Republicans in Congress and the Mayor sets a promising tone for the next four years, and we anticipate more successes to come."
