Longshot Republican Gubernatorial candidate Justin Barbera was charged last week with failing to pay child support. He was released via a court order 12 hours after being booked into Salem County Correctional Facility.
Barbera, a relatively political unknown before entering the race for governor, ran as a conservative third-party candidate in the race for the third congressional district last year, earning only 0.3% of the vote.
Although he did get enough signatures to get on the primary ballot, he did not raise enough money to participate in the debates, nor did he receive any endorsements that hold any weight. However, Justin did attend the May 20th debate at Rider University, where he acted very hostile. At one point, he was taken out of the room where he threatened to storm the debate stage.
This is not the first time that the 44-year-old Barbera has encountered trouble with the law. He has a long history of criminal activity, which includes criminal mischief and theft. In 2013, he was sued for $15,000 for breach of contract, and the case was closed in February 2014 after Barbera agreed to pay for amount owed.
In 2022, Barbera was sued by New Jersey Manufacturers for insurance fraud.

He’s probably controlled opposition, the dems prob backed him just to dirty him and republicans in this state. I never heard of him, and I get some of us have a past. No one in the GOP would run this guy if he is still tied up with legal issues. I’m interested in flipping this state, but not to another sort of criminal. I need MAGA/MAGA W aspirational goals for all of us. I’ve even volunteered with the local GOP and with Scott Presler and either they are ok losing or don’t need help. Prob both, as they are making money being the opposition. We need to overturn this mindset.
